this album has been an up down journey into music i love but i was afraid to make, music that has for a long time been relatable to me but which i was convinced requires skills i did not posses.

when releasing trains // distance i claimed that "bloom" (then "komorebi") is going to remain an ambient record, that it's going to resemble my previous music. well, it is not and it doesn't, sorry for that. every time i tried writing another ambient piece i felt like i was not moving forward with my music, making stuff that very well could've been release 2 years ago on releases which i now find cringy and badly executed projects.

on "bloom" i tried giving it my best, polishing every track to the point where i could rest saying that every song on here is a necessary addition to the album. this mentality was not with me during the writing processes before, having recorded most of the materials on said releases in a span of 1 to 2 weeks, not months like here.

i hope you're going to like the new sound of heðer, and if not, then i am sorry, i hope the previous albums and EPs will keep you satisfied.
